Delhi NCR Region has mushroomed with many Cricket grounds in every 10 kmsradius, be it Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida, Faridabad & Gurgaon having many Cricket grounds with good facilities, Flood Lights and other facilities to organise regular Corporate matches during weekends. We spoke to couple of Corporate Cricket organisers in NCR region, in order to understand the gamut of this business, Vishal Asthana, who has been engaged in Corporate Cricket for more then a decade now, has been organising “KPL “ Korporate Leagues, he informed us initially , he played Corporate matches in various grounds in Delhi, while playing these matches, he realised, there is good demand for these matches across Delhi NCR region, thereby he left his IT service Job, in Gurgaon, he got full fledge got in to this business 10 years back, initially it was tough, but within 6 months, he was able to organise the First season of KPL with 16 Leading Corporate of Delhi NCR, and that’s how he started the first season of KPL, now he has been running this successfully for so many years , today, he has around 64 Corporate teams with him, but at the same time, this business also become very competitive over the years, also due to more grounds in Delhi NCR also makes it more competitive, today Corporates also becomes choosy , they look for Quality over Quantity.
Therefore, KPL has been successful and its created it niche amongst the Corporate Cricketers of NCR “
We also spoke to Aman Rawat, another seasoned in to Organising Corporate Cricket for quite some time, as per Aman “ This Space is definitely challenging now, but yes If you provide good grounds good Playing conditions, these days Corporates needs good quality clothing, Quality Food, Live Matches, live Scoring under the Lights, therefore entire dynamics have changed, but at the same time, Event organisers who are providing quality with cost effectiveness are there in the business and Corporates also happy with their services “
Both Vishal and Aman also specified that, there are some Event Organisers, they did not wanted to take the name, are not fulfilling their, commitments, therefore, it becomes a tricky business, when you commit something and do not deliver it, then it becomes a question mark for the overall community of Event organisers, therefore, they wanted to request, all these Event Organisers to maintain their commitments, since this space is already so competitive , there is no scope for false commitments
Recently I was in Dehradun, I was kind of mesmerised with the overall development in the City presence of all leading brands high class eateries suggests that, the eating out Culture has been on upswing, which is a clear cut indicator, that, Dehradun is Ready for Corporate Cricket,I have not witnessed good Corporate Cricket emerging in Dehradun, however there is good facilities of the game within the city or in outskirts,
I firmly believe that, Good Corporate Cricket events can be organised in Dehradun, as Corporate can travel with their families for the weekends outing as well as playing cricket during the weekends as there are many good Grounds available within the city limit,
Dehradun has rapidly grown on Serious Cricket, I am sure with the successful culmination of Veterans and Legend Cricket events recently added to the popularity and demand of the game in the city.
